You'll have your list of new movers and new homeowners in just six easy steps.
As you build your new mover list, the various selections you'll make through
the six steps will be displayed on the left side of the screen. If ever you
want to start over, just click the "Get New Count" button at the top.
Step 1: Select
the geographical area where you'll be marketing your products or services to
new movers, new residents, and new home owners. Enter ZIP codes, counties, area
codes, states, FIPS codes, DMA codes, or Carrier Routes. You can even upload a
list of ZIP codes, area codes, etc. if you have too many to type.
Step 2: Choose
a date range for how far back in time you want to look for new movers, new residents, and new homeowners. You can search for people who moved as far back
as six months ago.
Step 3: You
have the option here to further target your new mover and new homeowner lists
by several demographics. Keep in mind that while choosing demographics will
make your list more targeted, it will reduce the number of new movers, new residents, and new homeowners you can reach.
Step 4: Select
the way you plan to use your new mover list: telemarketing, direct mail, both,
or all listings. Choosing "telemarketing" means that each record will have a
telephone number, but not necessarily a mailing address. Choosing "direct mail"
means each record will have a mailing address, but not necessarily a telephone
number. "Both" means each record will have both an address and a telephone
number. Finally, "All Listings" means you will get all available records,
whether they have a valid telephone number or address.
Step 5:BrandNewMovers.com
will report back the total number of new movers, new residents, and new homeowners in the area and date range you specified. You can save the report,
print the report, or create a more customized breakdown.
Step 6: Here,
you'll specify the file format you need for your new mover and new homeowner list, for example, Microsoft Excel format. Four different formats are
available.
General Help:
On this page, you will choose the geographical area where you intend to market
your goods and services to new movers, new residents, and new home owners.
After clicking "Next," you will be taken to a new page where you will enter the
ZIP codes, area codes, states, etc. that you require.
Area Code:
A three digit number that generally identifies households with telephone
service in a particular region of the United States. In the following example
number, the area code is bolded: 1-863-555-7634.
Carrier Route:
A Carrier Route is a 9 digit number used by the post office to designate groups
of addresses to aid in mail delivery. Literally, it is the particular route the
mail carrier takes when delivering mail. The number consists of 5 numbers for
the ZIP Code, one letter for the carrier route type, and 3 numbers for the
carrier route number. For example "05055R003" or "12508C007."
Counties:
A county is a division within a state, usually encompassing one or more cities
or towns. Selecting this option will bring up a listing of all 50 states. Once
you select a state, a list of all counties in that state will appear. Simply
make your selections from that list.
Designated Market Area:
A DMA (Designated Market Area) code is a three digit code developed by Nielsen
Media Research to group metropolitan and surrounding areas into defined
markets. A DMA is usually named for the major city located in the market and is
defined by that city, its surrounding cities, towns, suburbs, and rural areas.
DMAs do not follow political boundaries like city limits and county lines, and
may overlap.
FIPS Codes:
A FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) code is a unique 5-digit
number that is assigned by the federal government to each county in the United
States. This number is comprised of a 2-digit State code followed by a 3-digit
county code.
States:
A state is one of 50 major political divisions in the United States. Selecting
this option will bring up a checklist of all 50 states. Simply check the states
you wish to search.
ZIP Codes: A
ZIP (Zone Improvement Plan) code is used by the post office to help ensure that
mail travels more efficiently and effectively to the geography to which the ZIP
codes is assigned. A basic ZIP code consists of five digits, and an extended
ZIP+4 code (not used in BrandNewMovers) has an additional four digits. ZIP
codes do not correlate with political boundaries like city limits and county
lines, and the post office changes them often.
General: On
this page, you will choose a Starting Date and an Ending Date for your new mover and new homeowner list. Your list will be made up of people who moved
during this date range. You have the option of setting a specific range, or you
can click the drop down box at top to select from several preset date ranges.
Note: You
cannot select a Starting Date that is older than six months from the current
date. If you try to select an older date, the date in the Starting Date box
will not change.
General: On this page, you can, if you wish, choose to target your new mover and new homeowner list by one or more demographic selections. Our demographics are
based on census data, aggregated at the block level. This means that all
households within a neighborhood are "averaged out" based on the most prominent
demographics in that neighborhood.
For example, assume that you select the "Ethnicity" demographic and choose
"African-Americans." The list output to you will be pulled from areas where
there is a high concentration of African-Americans. However, not every record
output will necessarily be an African-American person.
Keep in mind that while adding demographics is a great way to target your list,
you will lose out on any new movers, new residents, and new homeowners that do
not meet the demographic criteria you select. So, the number of records output
for you to use in your marketing may be substantially reduced - especially if
you choose more than one demographic.
Dwelling Type:
This demographic allows you to choose between Single Family Dwelling Units
(stand alone homes) and Multiple Family Dwelling Units (apartments, condos,
etc.). This demographic becomes particularly important if you intend to send
mail to your new mover and new homeowner list. Our data, in many instances, does
not contain secondary addresses (unit number, apartment numbers), so the
deliverability of direct mail may be affected. You may wish to select SFDU if
you are sending direct mail to ensure maximum deliverability.
Telemarketing Listings:
Selecting this option will ensure that your list of new movers and new homeowners has a valid telephone number on 100% of the records, but may not
have a valid mailing address. Use this option only if you do not intend to mail
to your new mover prospects.
Direct Mail Only:
Selecting this option will ensure that your list of new movers and new homeowners has a valid mailing address on 100% of the records, but may not have
a valid telephone number. Use this option only if you do not intend to call
your new mover prospects.
Our data, in many instances, does not contain secondary addresses (unit number,
apartment numbers), so the deliverability of direct mail may be affected. You
may wish to return to the Demographics page and select SFDU (Single Family
Dwelling Units) if you are sending direct mail to ensure maximum
deliverability.
DM and TM:
Selecting this option will ensure that your list of new movers and new home owners has both a mailing address and telephone number on 100% of the records.
Keep in mind that this will reduce the total number of new mover records that
might otherwise be available to you. Use this option if you intend to both mail
and call your new mover prospects.
All Listings:
Selecting this option will maximize the number of new mover, new resident, and
new homeowner records you will receive. However, not all records will have
either a valid address or valid telephone number.
General: This page shows you the number of new movers, new residents, and new homeowners meeting your selection criteria. A count report appears at the
center of the screen showing a breakdown of your list, based on your initial
geographic selection. You have the option to print the count report or save it
as an Excel file or Adobe .pdf file. Or, you can further customize your count
report by clicking the "customize report" button. Click "Next" when you're
ready to place your order.
Keep in mind that the count report is not the actual list of new mover and new home owner names and addresses. It is merely a report of the number of records
that will be available to you should you decide to purchase the list. In the
following screens you will purchase your list and specify the format for
download.
Customize Report:
Clicking this button will open a window with a new version of your count report
having three columns. At the top of each of the first two columns there is a
drop down box with different options for sorting your count report.
Let's assume you uploaded a list of 200 ZIP codes, and the initial count report
showed how many new movers and new homeowners were in each ZIP code you
uploaded. You may, for example, want to change that report so that you can see
how many new movers and new homeowners were in each county rather than in each
ZIP code. Simply change the first column drop down box to "State" and the
second column drop down box to "County" and click "Refresh."

partner before going forward with the purchase of our new mover and new homeowner lists.

that at least 90% of the records we provide you will be
new mover or
